A NOTE ON MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT LITIGATION
Due to the somewhat unique aspect of municipal government and administrative law practice, Brownlee engages in many quasi-judicial matters. In these instances, we act principally as counsel before administrative tribunals and boards. These quasi-judicial matters cover a wide array of areas including:

expropriations
taxation
planning and development
electrical and gas regulation

Our clients in such matters include municipalities throughout Alberta as well as the Province of Alberta itself. Brownlee has represented its clients throughout various levels of Alberta courts, those of neighbouring provinces and the Supreme Court of Canada.
