Diversity and inclusion is at the core of what we do. From solving complex legal matters to providing strategic advice to our clients, our diverse team makes our experience richer and our presence stronger. Our strength lies in embracing our differences – respecting each individual’s values and cultivating their professional aspirations.

Our commitment to diversity allows us to attract and retain the best lawyers regardless of their race, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We hire them because they are simply the best. When our lawyers bring their full selves to work, we know that we will all thrive and succeed. This welcoming environment enables us to come up with innovative solutions and offer practical advice to help our clients.

Incorporation of Gender Inclusive Pronouns

As our internal efforts to provide a strong and inclusive workforce continue to evolve, so too must our external efforts.

In recognition of individual rights to gender identity and expression, members of the Brownlee LLP team can choose to include their preferred pronouns – “she/her/hers,” “he/him/his”, “they/their/theirs” – in their email signatures.

Through providing the option to choose the preferred gender identity pronouns in our email signatures, we hope this show of support for the LGBTQIA2S+ community will help to further the acceptance of gender inclusivity and help to normalize the use of gender-neutral pronouns in society.

All people have the right to have their gender be identified correctly, and they deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

Committed to Women’s Equality

This International Women’s Day we celebrate the accomplishments of women who refused to accept the status quo. We recognize that their battle for rights a century ago has put us on a path for equality that, although it has improved, is far from ending.

As a firm, we are committed to equality for women in the workplace. These different experiences and backgrounds form the backbone of how we meet the needs of our clients. Likewise, showing respect for others in our everyday interactions with clients, family, friends only strengthens our community.
