James Work returned to Brownlee LLP as an articling student in 2020 after spending his summer with the firm in 2018.
While in the University of Alberta Juris Doctor program, he was an editorial board member of the Alberta Law Review, and completed an internship at the Court of Appeal of Alberta. James also worked as a research assistant examining municipal government jurisdiction over environmental issues.
Prior to attending law school, James previously worked for the Alberta Utilities Commission as a regulatory analyst, and completed a Masters’ degree in environmental and resource economics.
He also previously volunteered his time with Student Legal Services in Edmonton.
James enjoys reading fiction, snowboarding, and travelling.
