Sean joined Brownlee in 2026 as an associate after completing his articles at a regional firm in Edmonton. During his articles he gained in experience in many different areas, including litigation, real estate, wills and estates, and corporate commercial. He is looking forward to expanding his knowledge and abilities as part of the team at Brownlee.
Sean studied political science and German language and culture at the University of Alberta, before receiving his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, in Halifax. In law school Sean was involved in the Pro-Bono Dalhousie program, the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies, Law Games, and the Domus Legis society.
Sean enjoys playing and watching sports, spending time outside, and reading in his spare time.

WHY LAW
I have always wanted to be a lawyer. Growing up I loved reading and history, which led to an interest in the law. In University I studied political science and learned about how the law impacts the day to day life of every person, in both good ways and bad. Attending law school I found that my favourite classes were the ones where practical problems were considered and solved.
