Rebecca Kos is an associate practicing municipal and administrative law, primarily in the areas of: municipal governance and authority, privacy and access to information, property taxation and assessment and municipal enforcement, including development agreement enforcement.
Rebecca articled with Brownlee in 2015 after graduating from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, where she was awarded the 2014 George Bligh O’Connor Silver Medal in Law. Since joining the municipal team, Rebecca has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta on a variety of matters including bylaw prosecutions, injunction applications and permission to appeal applications.
Rebecca has also appeared before tribunals including Subdivision and Development Appeal Boards and participated in arbitration proceedings regarding contractual disputes. Rebecca takes a practical approach to resolving issues for her clients and is dedicated to helping municipalities achieve the best result.

COMMUNITY
I’ve always liked solving problems and helping people. During my undergraduate degree, I took a business law course that sparked my interest in law and showed me how lawyers are really problem solvers. From there, the choice was clear.
