CONNECT WITH ME

Linda practices in Brownlee's Business Services group, with a focus on corporate, commercial, and real estate law. She advises private businesses, entrepreneurs, municipalities, and other public sector clients on a broad range of commercial transactions, governance matters, commercial agreements, and real estate matters. Linda began her legal career with a well-rounded practice at an Edmonton law firm, gaining experience in litigation, real estate, and commercial matters. She subsequently developed a foundation in civil litigation, primarily practicing insurance defence at a prominent Edmonton firm. More recently, she has focused her practice on corporate and commercial law, advising entrepreneurs and businesses on transactions, corporate governance, commercial agreements, financing matters, and strategic legal issues. This diverse background enables her to provide practical, business-focused advice informed by experience across multiple areas of law.

Linda's primary focus is corporate and commercial law. She assists clients with corporate transactions, commercial agreements, corporate governance, financing matters, and business structuring. She also has experience supporting commercial real estate transactions and advising municipalities and other public sector organizations on governance and commercial matters.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Linda's practice is building lasting relationships with her clients and earning their trust. She enjoys taking the time to understand their priorities and the challenges they face so she can provide thoughtful, practical advice that is tailored to their needs. She strives to be a trusted advisor that clients can rely on throughout every stage of their business and legal journey.

Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and their Australian Shepherd, Blue. She enjoys catching up with family and friends over meals at new restaurants and cafes. In her personal time, she enjoys learning to play tennis, attending group fitness classes, picking up the piano, and caring for her collection of houseplants.

Throughout law school and her career, Linda was actively involved in community and professional organizations. She volunteered with Edmonton Community Legal Centre, Student Legal Services, and the National Canadian Lawyers' Initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic to help Canadians struggling with pandemic-related legal issues. She also served as Vice-President Finance for Law Students for Inclusion & Diversity at the University of Alberta.
