Jeremy has worked across North America for over a decade on resource, infrastructure, and governance projects in both the public and private sectors. Jeremy has over four years of experience in private practice, currently focuses on municipal and corporate commercial law. He assists his municipal clients with bylaws, real estate projects, zoning, and development agreements, along with environmental and administrative law. He handles a variety of workalso supports both his municipal and private clients on the full range of commercial issues they face, including share and asset deals, corporate governance, and leasing.
Jeremy also does significant work with Indigenous law. He works with Indigenous Government Organizations (IGOs) and others, providing support on governance, commercial matters, and land claims.
Before going into private practice, Jeremy spent several years in public practice, where he focused on environmental law. He articled with the Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) in Toronto, where he drafted submissions for the relicensing of reactors at the Bruce Power nuclear facility.
He studied at Vermont Law School, known for its strong environmental law program, and interned with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the US, working on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC, where he promoted the Keystone XL pipeline.
After articling, Jeremy joined the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) to help create new legislation after the federal government gave the GNWT more control over natural resources. His background in environmental law was a good fit for this work, and he was involved in local resource projects, focusing on mining and oil and gas, along with Indigenous consultation.

- Settled two multimillion-dollar Indigenous community-building trusts in September
- Negotiated development agreement between an NWT municipality and a neighboring Indigenous government
- Completed purchase of multimillion-dollar NWT hotel property
- Assisted several municipalities and Indigenous governments with community housing projects
- Reviewed sale of charter airline for lender
