Jakub D. Ksiazek is a skilled and practical litigator, having prosecuted and defended hundreds of personal injury, professional negligence, property loss and construction claims across Western Canada. During his nearly twenty years of practice, Jakub has successfully represented countless insurers, adjusters, brokers, contractors, and professionals and helped them resolve their disputes, regardless of the level of complexity. Jakub is known for his sound and practical advice and strategy, and his ability to see the big picture. He prides himself on delivering top notch service on every file he handles, regardless of size.
Jakub has repeatedly presented on a broad range of topics including subrogation, construction, liability apportionment, and practical claims handling. He is always willing to provide insight on any legal issue of interest.
Jakub is of course quite familiar with Alberta’s Courts, having appeared numerous times in all of them. He has chambers, trial, and appellate experience. In addition, Jakub has led arbitrations, spearheaded recovery actions, and is completely at ease with alternate dispute resolution, having participated in countless mediations and settlement negotiations over the years.
During the course of his career, Jakub has tutored law students at the University of Calgary, mentored and guided numerous up and coming lawyers, and has developed a reputation for litigating with civility, integrity, and tenacity.
