Gabriela completed her law studies at the University of Alberta and is now gaining practical experience as an Articling Student at Brownlee LLP. Her journey with the firm began in the summer of 2023 when she joined as a summer student.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, where she majored in Sociology and minored in Psychology, graduating with First Class Standing.
Gabriela is particularly interested in labour and employment law and hopes to build a bilingual practice in both English and French. She is especially drawn to the firm’s work with the Alberta French School Board.
During law school, she volunteered with Student Legal Services, including the Trans ID Clinic, where she helped individuals update gender markers on identification documents.
Outside of work, Gabriela enjoys watching Oilers hockey, reading, running, weightlifting, and doing Pilates.
As an Articling Student, Gabriela gets hands-on experience in all our practice areas, helping her build and sharpen the practical skills needed to become a lawyer.

WHY LAW
Practicing law provides me with an opportunity to continuously grow my own knowledge, as well as apply it to matters my future clients may be dealing with in a unique and pragmatic way. It’s a privilege to be able to help others while doing what I love at the same time.
