Colter J. McCoy is an associate in Brownlee’s Edmonton office. Born and raised in Edmonton, his practice primarily focuses on all things litigation, with Colter as a member of both Brownlee’s litigation and specialized research teams.
Colter began his career conducting both Federal and Provincial prosecution work for approximately 5 years, including articling, gaining invaluable trial litigation and courtroom experience before joining Brownlee LLP.
Colter’s extensive trial experience, file assessment capabilities, and research expertise are valuable assets to any client looking to settle legal matters in an efficient and decisive manner. Colter has a strong passion for the law and prides himself on his extensive knowledge of both substantive and procedural legal matters.
REPRESENTATIVE WORK
Colter undertakes extensive civil litigation work in the province of Alberta with vast prior trial experience as a Federal and Provincial Crown Prosecutor at both levels of the Alberta trial courts. Outside of the courtroom, Colter conducts comprehensive legal research and analysis on a variety of complicated legal matters across multiple sectors and practice areas.
