CONNECT WITH ME

Cassandra received her Juris Doctor degree with distinction from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. She is now an articling student at Brownlee LLP. Cassandra is most excited to explore employment and insurance law, as she has not yet had the opportunity to work in these areas.

During law school, Cassandra was the vice president of social media for the Law and Business Association and was involved with the Women’s Law Forum. She also played the role of Cady Heron in the Law Show’s production, Mean Lawyers.

One of the highlights of Cassandra’s law school experiences was her student placement with Legal Aid Alberta, which she completed as part of an experiential course called Low-Income Individuals and the Law.

Prior to law school, Cassandra completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Alberta, with a major in business economics and law and a minor in marketing.

Outside of work, Cassandra enjoys spin classes, exploring Edmonton’s food scene, walking in the beautiful river valley, wake surfing, and skiing.

REPRESENTATIVE WORK

As an Articling Student, Cassandra receives hands-on experience in all our practice areas, which will help her build the practical skills needed to become a lawyer.

WHY LAW

I pursued law because I have always enjoyed working with people to solve problems and wanted a career where I could make a meaningful impact. I am drawn to law because it combines the intellectual challenge of complex problem-solving with the opportunity to support clients through difficult situations. I am passionate about using my strong writing and communication skills to benefit others and make a positive difference in their lives.
