Iqra Azhar is an associate in Brownlee’s Vancouver office. With her experience and expertise in a variety of legal fields including insurance law, personal injury, and general civil litigation, she consistently delivers exceptional legal solutions to clients.
In addition to her professional commitments, Iqra is committed to giving back to her community. She has held executive board positions at the South Asian Legal Clinic of BC and the BC Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association. As an executive board member, she actively engages with these organizations, supporting their missions and advocating for access to justice. She volunteers her time and legal expertise to make a positive impact on people in her community.
Iqra joined Brownlee LLP in 2024, with a practice focused primarily on insurance litigation. She also practices a wide range of additional legal services, including personal injury law, civil litigation, and mediation.
Iqra’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from the University of British Columbia in 2014. She further pursued her legal studies at Thompson Rivers University, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 2018. After successfully completing her legal education, Iqra was called to the BC bar in 2019.
Beyond her legal abilities, Iqra is fluent in Urdu and Hindi, which enables her to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients and provide culturally informed and accessible legal counsel.
In her free time outside of her practice with Brownlee, Iqra is passionate about hiking, reading, and word games.
