Chris Franssen utilizes his prior experiences in the engineering and product commercialization sectors to offer clients effective legal advocacy in corporate commercial law.
Specifically, his primary areas of focus are information technology, business development, and commercial contracting. He also provides strategic counsel in intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, administrative law, and construction and procurement.
Well versed in mediation, negotiation and dispute resolution, Chris strives to achieve desirable outcomes for his clients. Chris also assists Brownlee clients with trademark, patent, and copyright issues.
“I seek to understand and promote various perspectives, and ensure that the process of legal analysis encompasses diverse ways of thinking about and appreciating issues,” he said.
Outside of practicing law, Chris shares his time with two charities. He is on the Finance Committee of the Board of Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area, and he mentors small business entrepreneurs through Futurpreneur Canada.
When not volunteering his time or assisting clients, he enjoys carpentry and skiing.
