Prior to joining Brownlee LLP’s Insurance Litigation team, Brianna Rosychuk’s experiences as a volunteer reinforced her affinity for helping others.

She completed her articles with us in 2022 and joined our Insurance Litigation practice group that summer.

Before attending law school, she was chairperson for the 5 Days for the Homeless fundraising campaign, helped organize a Network of Empowered Women conference, and served as a mentor with the Youth Restorative Action Project. During her first year of law school at the University of Alberta, she volunteered at Student Legal Services and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.

Brianna said her love of building relationships and helping others, combined with her enjoyment of research and learning, motivated her to pursue a legal career.

A 2021 graduate with distinction from the U of A Faculty of Law’s Juris Doctor program, she also completed a semester abroad in Northern Ireland at Queen’s University Belfast where she studied international law at a the Master of Laws level.

As a student, Brianna found that she most enjoyed oral and written advocacy. She said she looks forward to having a legal career where she continues to refine these skills in pursuit of assisting clients.

In her free time, Brianna played soccer competitively for 10 years, as well as on the university’s intramural team. She also played on the University of Alberta Panda Bearristers rugby team.
